Hi Family (: Well this week our investigators should finally be getting baptized!

Hi Family (:
Well this is the last week before changes! How weird is that?? I can't believe that I have been in this area for 3 months. It feels like i just got her. Well it sounds like everyone has been having a pretty good week and stuff! I miss you guys lots but I know that I am exactly where the Lord wants me to be. I can't believe all of the things I have learned in the last few months here in Cartago. Really it has been such a great blessing to me.

Well this week our investigators should finally be getting baptized! We had to wait a while for her to stop smoking but she has stopped and she is really really happy! (: They came to church all by themselves on sunday! We were so happy!
This week we had a real miracle happen. We were in a lesson with a Recent Convert and we were running a little late so we were trying to teach fast but her son talks ALOT and so we were waiting to leave. Then finally we left and we were walking to our other cita,.
or like running because we were late. Then we were like hey maybe it will be faster if we cut through this park thing. Which we never usually do. Nor have we ever thought it was faster but we went that way that day. So we were walking and we ran into our other Recent convert there who was coming to play soccer. She told us are you serious why are you guys walking here. She told us that she had just gotten in a fight with her daughter and the whole way to the park she was praying that she could talk to us. That she needed to talk to us and was asking her Father in Heaven for help to know what to do. Honestly it was the neatest experience. We got to be the answer to her

prayer and we got to be the hands of our father in heaven. In that moment my testimony grew that The Lord knows every person. He is very aware of what is happening in everyones lives. He knows and listens to our prayers. I am so grateful to be here to help him answer the prayers of his children.
Well family I will let you know next week about changes! I am sure I will still be here my companion. who knows, but I love you guys! I hope everything is good at home! and good with Talmage! He is in my prayers! And Kendall for his job! I will fast for you too on saturday (: Love you guys!!

Hi family (: this week has been really great!

Hi family (:

well this week has been really great! We have been working really hard! We went on divisions this week and I had to stay here but I didn't get lost or anything (: so i was pretty happy. I guess when you have lived somewhere for 3 months you kind of know where things are. We still have 2 weeks until changes so we will see what happens. My companion has
6 months here so we are thinking she will have changes but I we will see. I am grateful for her and all the things we have learned together.
This week has been kind of a struggle with a few investigators who are preparing for Baptism this saturday. One of the Hermanas has been trying to quit smoking for almost 2 months she has progressed a lot but still didn't stop. So we asked our District leader if he wanted to try to help us teach her a little bit so we could help her stop smoking. So they came and we had a really REALLY good lesson abot the atonment and stuff. She decided she wanted to stop So it took a few days but this week she stopped completly! And she stopped drinking coffee! It has really jsut been a testimony builder to me that when we are keeping the commandments the lord gives us so many blessings. That when we do our part we can have the spirit more with us. We watche the video of the resturacion with her and her daughter and after we asked her how did you feel when Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ? She said i just felt like this tingling feeling that really this was true. It was amazing the spirit was so strong! She was an investigator at first who told us she never needed to go to
church because she could feel the spirit in her house just fine. Then this week we asked her if she has asked God if this was his church and she said obviously I know it is or I wouldn't be going with you guys. She said a prayer and asked God if he could help her know if she needs to join his true church on the earth and be baptized. I just love that the spirit really does change people. That when people keep the commandments the Lord will always bless them. I just know that this is true there is no way that people could change their lives so drastically if this was not the Church of Jesus Christ.
Yesterday we went to a volcano with some members and the Elders in our ward. So that was fun. I took some pictures and I am trying to put them in the Dropbox but it is taking forever. So we got there and it was really sunny but then after about an hour it got really really foggy and you couldn't hardly see anything. So we left and went to the members house and ate some Hamburgers. The members here are really the best! (: I just love them!
Well Family I hope all is well at home! I hope everyone is doing good!
I would love it if you wrote me next week because mom was the only one who wrote me..... so write me or something! Love you guys

Happy 9 months!!!!! (:

Hi family!!! (: well this week I will official have 9 months in the mission..... How did that happen SO FAST! I feel like i just got here but at the same time i feel like I have been here forever. I love being a missionary with all my heart. It is the hardest thing I have ever done but it is the best thing i have ever done.

Well last week we had a meeting with our Sister Training leaders and they told us that some of our metas of excelence were changing.... out numbers haven't been to good the past few weeks so we were a little bit taken back when they said the norms would be increasing. But we usually find 10 new investagators a week but now it is 15. So we were trying really hard do find people this week... We were working on tuesday and all our plans fell through so My companion said remember that one lady we talked to that lived by our house lets visit her. So we did and we found her family that has about 10 people in it. It was awesome! Then on saturday we had visited everyone but one person in our plans and no one was home. So we went to look for this lady. We walked up to this house and I said do you know a Myra she said oh that's me. But it wasn't the same lady we had talked to . She invited us in and we met her family too with was 4 people. Then we remembered someone else we had talked to and we found 2 more and then another we found 1. We found 14 new people to teach this week and every single one of them accepted a batismal date. The Lord is seriously preparing his children here to recieve the gospel and we are just the tools in his hands to help them find the truth.
Yesterday I was reading a few confrence talks from the October General Confrence. I was laying on my bed reading for about 4 hours yesterday while my companion wrote some letters and stuff. But when I was finished reading the Priesthood session I just had the most overwhelming feeling that I am exactly where my Heavenly Father wants me to be. That this is his work. That the church is true! I love the gospel with all my heart. Reading those talks really made me just realize how important the gospel really is. When I think about the person that I was 9 months ago and the person I am now i feel like I don't remember that person or want to be her every again. I have changed but for the good. I have realized what is truly important in my life and I know that there is nothing more important than the gospel of Jesus Christ. That nothing else could ever be as important as sharing the gospel with someone. It says in Preach My Gospel that we are not here just to baptize people or to increase the number of members in the church or to help people have a better life or be happier but we are here to help them enter the Kingdom of God. No one else can do that. This is the only church that has the authority to baptize people and they can enter the kingdom of God. I think sometimes we don't realize how important these things are. That sometimes we think well i have shared the gospel with everyone I know or my friends already told me they wont accept the missionaries or something like that but really there is no excuse for not sharing the gospel. The lord put us here to share the gospel and when we have to stand before him He will ask us what we did with the time and the knowledge he gave us of these things. I don't know about you but I want to be able to tell him that I shared the Gospel with everyone I knew. That everyone had the choice to accpet or regect the Gospel that I shared with them. I just know that the church is true with my whole heart. I have always had a testimony but my mission has taught me that really it the most important thing you can do is share the gospel. So hopefully you can think of someone to share the gospel with or something. (:

I love you guys! I hope you all have a great week!
